Sharpy Dee

From a young age I grew up with a love for music mainly influenced by my parents waking up to loud music on a Sunday morning, my dad is a music connoisseur and opened my listening ears to all genres from country & western to soca to reggae to soul music.

I utilised this platform to enter into the world of the DJ…

In 2000 I put my Djing on hold and pursued a career within engineering knowing that one day I would pick my love for music back up in the future.
I started going out again in 2012 and met some of the industry’s greatest DJ’s such as Lewis Mastermind Benn, Pete Mello, Pete Andrew, Marky Mark, Shaq D, ADB ,  Dave VJ and way too many others to mention.vThey all encouraged me to restart DJing which I did. I thank each and every DJ that has supported me on my journey.

By now my music taste had expanded into Soulful House, Reggae, Rare Groove, 80’s soul classics and RnB.  I started to get bookings for private parties and corporate events.  My DJing was going from strength to strength and I started playing music at Bars and clubs, securing a weekly slot at a bar in Kingston.

In 2018 I was approached to play on an internet radio station www.uk246.com which I started and my weekly Friday show 8-10pm which has been an exciting journey and I have grown in confidence and in my music content and mixing.

My Friday show is called “Soul No Limit” I chose this name as there is no limit to soul music and my music choices reflect this.

I started back in 1994 playing vinyl at private parties, I was spotted by a club manager and in 1995 I started a weekly residency at Gossips nightclub in London.  I played a 2 hour set every Thursday back to the 90’s Garage and RnB.
